Historic Tentative Agreement at Astria Toppenish Hospital

We have a TA!

After 3 full days of bargaining, we have reached an unpresented Tentative Agreement which has resulted in historic wages increases and other enhancements to the collective bargaining agreement. After ratification, nurses will see between a 20-34% wage increase, depending on step! These increases will make Toppenish extremely competitive at each step of the wage scale. In the second and third years of the contract, nurses will receive an across-the-board wage increase of 3% in each year.

We secured significant increases for most premiums and created a new $2.00 per hour float premium. We also replaced the Day After Thanksgiving with Christmas Eve as a recognized holiday. There are other enhancements as well.

A full summary of the updates will be posted online next week, and a copy of the redline will be available at the vote. We are recommending a YES vote.
