The Momentum Is Building!
Posted July 24, 2026
Thank you to everyone who attended our Bargaining Kickoff Event! It was wonderful to see so many nurses come together to meet your bargaining team, connect with colleagues, and show your commitment as we prepare to begin negotiations. Every conversation, every new face, and every act of participation builds the momentum that will carry us into bargaining.
Join Us for "Bargaining Bits & Bobs"
Our next opportunity to connect is Monday, July 27, with Bargaining Bits & Bobs on Microsoft Teams. Join us at 8 a.m. or 8 p.m., whichever works best for your schedule.
This is an informal, open Q&A where you can learn more about the bargaining process, ask questions, meet your bargaining team, and discover ways to get involved. The more informed and engaged we are, the stronger we are at the bargaining table.

Blue Wednesdays
Wear your WSNA blue every Wednesday to show your support for your bargaining team and your fellow nurses. Every blue shirt is a visible reminder that we are united and ready to advocate for a strong contract.
If you didn't pick up your WSNA T-shirt at the kickoff event, please reach out to your Local Unit Officers to receive one.
Consecutive Weekend Premium (Article 7.8)
WSNA is investigating concerns regarding the application of Article 7.8 (Weekends) of our Collective Bargaining Agreement, which provides premium pay for qualifying consecutive weekend work. If you have experienced a change in how your consecutive weekend premium has been paid, or if you believe you worked qualifying consecutive weekends but were paid straight time instead of the contractual premium, please contact your Nurse Representative, Ryan Silva at rsilva@wsna.org by Wednesday, 8/5/2026. When responding, please include your full name and the dates of the affected weekend shifts so we can review your situation and ensure the contract is being applied consistently.
Thank you for staying informed, getting involved, and showing your solidarity. Together, we're building the momentum that helps us achieve a strong contract.
