Scheduling and ATR (Actual Time Recorded) Transition Bargaining has begun!

On Monday January 12, and Tuesday January 13, your WSNA team of registered nurses began bargaining an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) to address the upcoming transition from the current  timekeeping system that uses rounding to an Actual Time Recorded (ATR) system.

Our questions to the employer reflected the RN responses to the recent ATR Transition Survey.

We discussed items such as clocking in/out expectations, incremental overtime, shift trade constraints, requested days off, unit based scheduling committees, number of days an RN may request off at any one time, shift scheduling flexibility, FTE reduction requests, Leave Without Pay (LWOP), final schedule attainment process, and others.

The employer was able to answer most of these questions on Monday and offered a commitment to try and minimize the disruption to the affected RNs as is possible.

Utilizing responses from the employer, WSNA offered a comprehensive proposal that takes into account the identified priorities of Registered Nurses throughout the hospital.

We will be meeting again as a team, along with the employer, sometime next week, with hopes to make significant movement in this process.

Feel free to contact any of your bargaining team members or WSNA representative Ed Zercher at ezercher@wsna.org for any concerns or clarifications needed.

Stay tuned for updates and log on to WSNA.ORG for updates at UWMC Montlake and around the state.
