WSNA at UWMC Montlake Bargaining Update

The RN bargaining unit members have spoken, and sent a loud message.  The Tentative Agreement presented to the nurses was rejected on Friday, August 29, by an overwhelming majority.

What does this mean for registered nurses at UWMC Montlake?

It means our WSNA bargaining team will be reaching out immediately to the employer to determine next steps.  We will work to get back to the table in an effort to get to a contract your team is able to recommend a YES vote on.

Also your WSNA team of registered nurses will be meeting this week to map out the best path forward to ensure RNs at Montlake get a contract they deserve.

In the meantime, our expired contract remains in effect.  Under state law, the terms and conditions of our expired collective bargaining agreement stay in place for one year, or until we bargain a new contract.

Stay tuned for updates coming as soon as later this week.  If you have any questions, please contact me (EZercher@wsna.org)

Thanks for all of the amazing care each and every registered nurse provides for your patients at UWMC Montlake.

In Solidarity,

Ed Zercher
