It's time to nominate your WSNA Officers for 2025-2028
Posted Nov 21, 2025
WSNA local unit officers are elected by the union nurse members every three years. WSNA officers work in collaboration with the Nurse Representative to advocate for bargaining unit nurses. Time commitment is minimal. WSNA provides training for each of these roles. You may nominate yourself or someone else you feel would fill the role well. After nominations close, we will confirm willingness to serve, and electronic elections will be held.
Officer positions include: Chairperson, Co-Chairperson, Secretary/Treasurer, and Grievance Officer.
- The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the unit and be an ex officio member, with vote, of all committees, except the Nominating Committee.
- The Co-Chairperson shall perform the duties of the chairperson in the absence of the chairperson and shall perform other duties as may be assigned.
- The position of Secretary/Treasurer is combined and held by one person. This person will keep record of meeting notes and finance reports and be responsible for processing vouchers.
- The Grievance Officer shall be the liaison between the unit and WSNA to advise and assist WSNA in the Association's dealings with the Employer concerning grievances.
Submit your nominations electronically using the link below, no later than November 30, 2025
