Hello,

WSNA is announcing a change in nurse representatives.  Starting Monday, May 11, Jared Richardson will begin representing Washington Veterans Home nurses, and I will be shifting to other assignments.  Although I have only been your representative for a short time, I have enjoyed meeting some of you and getting the ball rolling on negotiations. Jared will take over negotiations and all other representation moving forward.

"My name is Jared Richardson, and I am honored to begin representing the nurses at the Washington Veterans Home. I am a registered nurse, Army veteran, and union organizer who has spent years advocating alongside nurses for safer staffing, workplace protections, and strong patient care standards. Serving the nurses who care for Washington’s veterans is work that is deeply meaningful to me both professionally and personally.

I believe the nurses at the Washington Veterans Home deserve strong representation, open communication, and an advocate who will stand beside them when challenges arise. The care you provide to our veterans and residents matters tremendously, and I look forward to getting to know all of you, hearing your concerns, and working together to build a strong and united voice for nurses in the facility."
