Reminder! Your WSNA team returns to mediation on Monday March 30
Posted Mar 26, 2026

- Real Talk: We introduced in WSNA emails a link that says, “Real Talk”. This will lead to an anonymous form where you can share a question, concern, suggestion, or just whatever is on your mind that you want to share with your officer team.
- Nurses Week: We want to hear your ideas for celebrating nurse’s week! See the button at the bottom of this email to submit your ideas.
- Raffles: We are going to be raffling off gift cards monthly to members who have joined a sip and chat for that month. For example, if you joined any sip and chat in the month of March, you will be entered into a raffle for a gift card that will be announced in April! Monday March 30 is your chance to join us at 6pm and be eligible for the gift card drawing 😊
What are we doing to move the County?
- WSNA team members, director of Government affairs and Director of Labor met for a discussion with Megan Pedersen, Chief People Officer, with the office of the County Executive on Friday March 20. We caught up the new Executive Zahilay’s office on the steadfast efforts to gain a strong fair contract and how the Executive can support the progress toward strong, fair contract!
- Join us on Monday March 30 at 6pm for virtual Sip n’ Chats with your team.
How to support your bargaining team:
- Wear your WSNA T-shirt or any WSNA swag on March 30 in support of your team while they continue to work with the public employee relations commission (PERC) mediator.
- Follow the team on Instagram, like and share posts and videos to inform the public https://www.instagram.com/phskc_staffnurses/
- It is more important than ever to read all WSNA communications to stay current with contract negotiations and workplace issues.
Contact your nurse team member with questions. You can sure use the Real Talk link for this purpose.
Here is the link to submit your questions, input so we can respond in our updates to the nurses
Join labor and community partners on March 28!
It is often said that shared struggles are unifying. As we continue this long effort for a contract, opportunities arise for union nurses to come together as a group around issues of equity and justice that are important to so many. Nurses are encouraged to participate in the peaceful No Kings Protests that are available in your area. WSNA nurses in the King County area are invited to join us on March 28th at the Cal Anderson Park meet up point after 11am. Wear your WSNA blue. The march to Seattle Center begins at 12 noon. Please anticipate extended commute times and limited parking due to high participation. Contact Nurse Rep Tara Barnes with questions tbarnes@wsna.org We will also have support placards to share with you in support of our fight for a strong, fair contract to share and post!
