Certifications

The American Nurses Credentialing Center is offering a 25% discount on all certifications, all month long. Advance your career and stand out with a specialty certification of your choice. Apply and use code NNW18 before May 31.

Scholarships

Western Governors University (WGU) is offering up to $200,000 in scholarships for nurses who wish to pursue a CCNE-accredited BSN or MSN degree or a bachelor’s, master’s or MBA degree specialized in healthcare management, health information management or other health care related degree. The WGU Loves Nurses Scholarship is valued at $2,000-$5,000 per six-month term for up to four terms.

Until June 30, the scholarship application fee of $65 will be waived with the code NOWFREE. Learn more about the scholarship and eligibility requirements at wgu.edu/landing/nursesweek18.

Planning to be near Cannon Beach this week?
The Lost Art of Nursing Museum will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship on May 31 to a nursing student currently enrolled in a school of nursing or graduating Spring 2018. To enter the drawing, official entry forms must be filled out at the museum, located in Cannon Beach, Oregon.

The museum is also hosting a public party in honor of Florence Nightingale’s birthday on May 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. – cake, children’s coloring books and pacemakers will be provided.
