The Oregon Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals (OFNHP), an AFT affiliate representing many nurses and other health professionals in Oregon and Southwest Washington, has given notice to Kaiser that it plans a 5-day strike starting October 14. This action is part of a nationwide strike by the Alliance of Health Care Unions, seeking safer staffing and competitive wages for Kaiser staff.
How can you help?
- Do not accept any agency assignment in Kaiser Oregon facilities or at Kaiser Medical Clinics in Vancouver or Longview-Kelso! If you are offered a travel nurse contract at any of the facilities, read carefully to ensure that you are not required to work during a labor dispute. This is critically important to support our OFNHP siblings.
