Donate PTO to the Bargaining Team
Your bargaining team spent hundreds of hours at the bargaining table, rounding the floors, and leading local unit meetings to ensure all nurses at Good Sam got a fair contract. If you would like to donate PTO to the team to help compensate for their own PTO used during negotiations, you can fill out this form electronically and send it to Telmore@wsna.org. You can also fill out a paper form that will be available at the local unit meeting and scan a copy of the form to Travis.
Fill out the electronic form here.
While your bargaining team did receive compensation in the agreement, it is not enough to make up for all the unpaid hours of work spent on this contract – if you’re able to donate one or two hours, it would go a long way in supporting your team!
Learn more about becoming a union steward!
After we vote to ratify our contract, we’ll need to continue having a strong, engaged, united bargaining unit. This means that we need at least one union steward on each unit!
Union Stewards are member leaders that advocate for their coworkers, ensure the WSNA rep and officers know about potential grievances, and communicate union news with their floor. The time commitment is less than 2 hours a month – and most of the work can be done before and after your shift!
Sign up for our union steward interest form here to be notified of upcoming trainings.
Solidarity with SEIU – ALL MultiCare workers deserve a fair contract!
We’ll be passing out stickers on our meeting Thursday in solidarity with our SEIU siblings! They’re still fighting for a fair contract. Good Samaritan could not run without our LPNs, CNAs, EVS, and all the other service and tech jobs that ensure our hospital runs safely and smoothly. Wear a sticker in support of our union siblings!
Support WSNA members affected by Washington wildfires
The wildfires in and around Spokane have forced tens of thousands to evacuate and have destroyed at least 600 homes and business. We know our members in the area have lost homes and others are still under evacuation orders.
You can help by donating to our emergency assistance relief fund.
We will use these funds to support WSNA members who are fire victims, some of whom have been displaced and others who have lost their homes.
You can make a difference right now - donate online.
We also accept checks: If you prefer to mail a check, make it out to WSNF Emergency Assistance Fund and mail to 575 Andover Park W., Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98188
In Solidarity, your WSNA Bargaining Team:
Co-Chair Savanah James, PCU; Treasurer Aaron Bradley, Palliative Care; Secretary Mindy Groven, PACU; Grievance Officer Emalie Hobi, ED; Jordan Goakey, Family Birth; Nicole Mandeville, ICU; Jennifer Hudson, ED; Jacqueline Dynes, ICU.
Please contact Travis Elmore Nelson, WSNA Nurse Rep, at telmore@WSNA.org or 206-575-7979 ext. 3117 with questions.
