Remember to vote on 8/11!
Posted Aug. 10, 2026
On 8/11, we’ll be having an online vote to ratify our contract! This vote will be sent to your personal email from our voting software called Election Buddy. If you don’t get a ballot the day of by 0800, reach out to glamonte@wsna.org and we’ll send one to you. Voting will be open from 0630-1830. If you have specific questions about the new contract, please reach out to telmore@wsna.org.
You can find the full redlined contract attached on our local unit homepage here, and a summary of the Tentative Agreement linked on our local unit homepage here.
You must be a full dues paying member in good standing to vote. If you are not a WSNA member you can sign up to become one here. If you have questions about your membership status, please reach out to membership@wsna.org.
Donate PTO to your bargaining team!
The eight members of your WSNA bargaining team have spent over 170 unpaid hours EACH just at the bargaining table – this doesn’t include the hours spent rounding the floors, leading local unit meetings, etc. While MultiCare did compensate each team member with 4k for their time at the bargaining table, this is not even close to the amount of PTO each team member spent during negotiations – the Tacoma General bargaining team actually got the same compensation amount from MultiCare in their negotiations, even though Good Sam had fewer team members and more bargaining sessions.
If you have an extra hour or two of PTO you would be able to donate to the bargaining team, it would go a long way in showing your support for the work they did to get us a fair contract! You can fill out an online form here and email it to telmore@wsna.org. We’ll also be distributing paper forms that you can fill out, take a picture of, and email to Travis.
Ready to defend the contract we just won?
Contracts are only good if we ensure they’re enforced and defended. We’ll need nurses on every unit to help with this over the next three years! The best way to advocate for your coworkers, ensure your unit is up to date on union news, and increase our union visibility across the hospital is to become a union steward!
You can fill out this interest form if you’d like to attend a union steward training. No commitment is needed right now, you can decide after going through the training if this is something you’d like to commit to! Fill out the interest form here to be notified of upcoming virtual steward trainings.
Join our Signal group for more real-time updates!
Our union Signal group is a great way to stay up to date with real time union updates and discussions – especially if you’re not on social media! You can download the messaging app Signal and click this link to join our members only group and ask questions, discuss issues across the hospital, and more.
Solidarity with SEIU!
Continue to sticker up and support our SEIU colleagues who have been without a contract since OCTOBER. We stand with them as they continue to fight for their coworkers and patients.
Support WSNA members affected by Washington wildfires
The wildfires in and around Spokane have forced tens of thousands to evacuate and have destroyed at least 600 homes and business. We know our members in the area have lost homes and others are still under evacuation orders. You can help by donating to our emergency assistance relief fund.
We will use these funds to support WSNA members who are fire victims, some of whom have been displaced and others who have lost their homes. You can make a difference right now - donate online. We also accept checks: If you prefer to mail a check, make it out to WSNF Emergency Assistance Fund and mail to 575 Andover Park W., Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98188
In Solidarity, your WSNA Bargaining Team:
