Announcing Nurse Representative Change

Kira and cat

Hi everyone!

My name is Kira Twiggs. I will be your new WSNA Nurse Rep effective immediately! I am so excited to work with you all! I have been working with Travis Elmore Nelson for a while now and will continue to work with him through our contract negotiations.

As for me, I was born and raised in Eastern WA and began my nursing career in Spokane, WA. While working as a PICU RN at Sacred Heart Medical Center I became a WSNA Local Unit Officer. Witnessing the dedication and behind-the-scenes efforts of my fellow nurses was inspiring.

I moved myself and my three cats (crazy cat lady here; cat tax included) to the beautiful Seattle Area in 2024 and worked in the CICU and PICU at Seattle Children's Hospital. I recently began at WSNA as a Nurse Rep, as the opportunity to engage at this level in the labor movement was too exciting to pass up! I am so thankful for the opportunity to support and represent you incredible nurses! If you need assistance, feel free to contact me at Ktwiggs@wsna.org!

In unity,

Kira Twiggs, BSN, RN, CCRN
