Kadlec Nurses: A Win for Every One of Us

When nurses stand together, our collective voice matters.

WSNA has announced the resolution of an unfair labor practice case involving Kadlec, where the National Labor Relations Board found sufficient evidence to formally charge the hospital with interfering with nurses' protected union rights and discriminating against employees because of union activity. The matter was ultimately resolved through a settlement that included removal of disciplinary actions and the posting of a notice informing employees of their rights.

This outcome is an important reminder that federal labor law protects every nurse's right to participate in union activities, advocate for patients and coworkers, and speak up about workplace issues without retaliation.

Whether you were directly involved or simply support a culture where nurses can safely raise concerns, this is an important story for our local unit.
