Good news and fun times ahead at UWMC!

Local Unit Meeting and Happy Hour this Thursday

This Thursday, June 6 from 1630-2030, your local unit officers and WSNA will be hosting a local unit meeting at the Old Stove Brewery at Ship Canal on Knickerson. There will be a food truck on site called Beer and Tacos, as well as a selection of beverages.   That means a FREE MEAL that you just can’t pass up!

Your local unit officers agreed to pay for a meal for each RN and all non-alcoholic beverages.

We will also have drawings throughout the event for amazing prizes for our dues-paying members.

MOU Ratification Vote for Nurse Care Coordinators

WSNA is excited to share that you have voted to ratify the MOU on Friday, May 31, bringing our nurse care coordinators under the WSNA umbrella! With a unanimous yes vote, these nurses are protected by all the rights of our union contract. We look forward to these nurses adding their voices to the collective voice of our membership moving forward.

Vacation Hour Cap Increase

Your previous vacation bank capped out at 240 hours; well, this has been increased by the legislature, to 280 hours. Self-care is important, and you should make sure that you are taking care of yourselves just as much as the patients.  Don’t forget to use your accumulated vacation and never risk losing those hours over 280 in your bank!

Questions? Contact your local unit officers or WSNA Nurse Representative for more information. Contact details in the bar above.
