Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Presumptive Eligibility For Nurses

We continue to hear concerns from WSNA members who are concerned with the impact that the recent community disaster has had on their mental and physical health.

We want our members to know that in Washington State, PTSD related to disasters like the one in the community is presumed to be job related. The law was changed to include nurses a couple of years ago, thanks to WSNA lobbying in Olympia.

If you believe that you have a Worker’s Comp. claim related to workplace PTSD, please follow the links below for more info.

In solidarity,
Your WSNA officers,

Please contact Travis Elmore Nelson, WSNA Nurse Rep, at telmore@WSNA.org or 206-575-7979 ext. 3117 with questions or concerns.
