Nurses Week? We’re doing Nurses Month!

Picture2

That’s right. You have worked hard for your new contract, it’s time to honor our valuable RNs for a whole month. Because of this, your officers are diligently planning an in-person event in the cafeteria to hand out swag, Thomas Hammer coffee cards, and grub! Planning is in the works. Watch your email for updates! Happy Nurses Week… ah, we mean, Month to WSNA SHMC RNs!

What else is new?

Tuesday, “Blues” day is year-round now!

Your contract is done, but your work is not. Show your WSNA support year round now! Wear your WSNA shirt or swag every Tuesday and send that message to management we are united AT ALL TIMES.

Premium Updates

We have heard from nurses the new premiums in the recently ratified contract have not been put into effect. Your local Unit officers and Nurse Rep moved quickly into action to find out why and see if there was a quick solution to be had. HR has now notified us they have been working with their partners to have the premiums corrected, and that it is going to take a lot of manual work to process. However, they have told us the premiums from 4/19/2026-5/2/2026 will be retro paid on the 6/5/2026 paycheck. We will work to keep you updated if there are any changes as we work through this.
