We have a Tentative Agreement!
Posted Mar 19, 2026

After 15 hard-fought sessions, our team has secured an outstanding tentative agreement. Over the last two days our team bargained for eighteen hours on Tuesday, over fourteen hours on Wednesday, and bargained both days past the midnight hour to make this possible.
These back-to-back negotiations focused on our largest remaining issues across wages, PTO, EIT, health insurance, break relief, and workplace safety. We pursued difficult conversations about what we feel our nurses deserve and what the Employer felt was appropriate to offer relative to those. We could not have reached this agreement without the support of our nurses both observing and wearing their buttons and signing their love letters!

We have been consistent with our message- it’s not just our 14-nurse bargaining team that gets us to this point. WE are all WSNA. WE are union strong. WE are over 2,000 strong at Sacred Heart and our team showed that when we proudly displayed our love letters as wallpaper. Handfuls of letters were read by our team to the Employer to give them a sense of how committed nurses are to working at Sacred Heart but the various working conditions that break their heart. Every one of these letters filled out showed management that our nurses are engaged and informed. Observer nurses in our bargaining room provided amazing support to our bargaining team and showed management just how important this is to each nurse.
A HUGE thank you to our Float Pool nurses who sponsored lunch for our bargaining team on Day 15- we cannot thank all our units enough for keeping us fed and caffeinated during this journey!
