Important negotiation update

We, your negotiation team, met for the second time with management on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019. The majority of the session was spent receiving management’s proposal which, by their own admission, is intended to renegotiate the contract from top to bottom with changes in just about every section. The County did not give us their full proposal and they are not certain when they will have their full proposal to us. The County did give us their wage proposal which is 1.5% in year one—which would not be retroactive; 2% in year two; and 2% in year three.

We started going through their proposal today which was a lot of work. We meet again on Dec. 10, 2019.

In solidarity,
Paul Kunkel, Brenda Balogh, Jane Storrs, Tami Nesler, and Melissa Fukunaga
