Important update regarding transition to ATR
Posted Mar 26, 2026
Transition from Timeclock Rounding to Actual Time Recorded (ATR) is proving to have some challenges…
WSNA has received countless reports of what RNs believe to be paycheck errors in the last 48 hours.
We are attempting to help get to the bottom of these concerns but we too are perplexed in many of the cases.
We have reached out to the employer to try and identify potential causes and are encouraging all RNs with concerns to reach out directly to the Director of Payroll Stephanie Howe at howes4@uw.edu.
Stephanie has asked that all RNs with concerns reach out to her directly. When doing so, it is best to offer pay periods of concern and include number of hours worked each pay period so that she can look them up and then respond using those pay periods as a reference.
It is also important to ask her any questions you may have about how your pay stubs are coded.
No, your hourly rate of pay should not have gone down. As a matter of fact, you should have seen a raise of 4% as of December 1st of 2025.
No, your annual salary should not have gone down either.
No, daily Overtime has not gone away. When an RN works more than their scheduled shift on any given day, they will be paid overtime. Daily OT does not require that you work in excess of 40 hours in a week.
There has been a lot of misleading and false information being passed along by various managers and Ops Supervisors, but we have been working hard to set the record straight.
Be in touch with WSNA Representative Ed Zercher at ezercher@wsna.org for any other concerns or clarifications

Document unsafe conditions
If you find yourself in a situation that you believe creates unsafe conditions for patients or for you, you should complete a Staffing Complaint / ADO Form as soon as possible.
By completing the form, you will help make the problem known to management, creating an opportunity for the problem to be addressed. Additionally, you will be documenting the facts, which may be helpful to you later if there is a negative outcome.
WSNA also uses your ADO forms to track the problems occurring in your facility. When you and your coworkers take the important step of filling out an ADO form, you are helping to identify whether there is a pattern of unsafe conditions for you or your patients at your facilities. This information is used by your conference committee, staffing committee, and WSNA labor staff to improve your working conditions.
Representation rights
As a union member, you have the right to have a representative present in any meetings with management that could potentially lead to disciplinary action against you.
If called into a meeting with management, read the following to management when the meeting begins:
If this discussion could in any way lead to my being disciplined or terminated, I respectfully request that my union representative be present at this meeting. Without representation present, I choose not to participate in this discussion.
Find out more about this crucial right and how to exercise it to ensure your fair treatment and protection.
