RNs vote "YES" on Meal and Rest Break MOU

On Wednesday of this week, RNs at UWMC NW voted unanimously to accept the Meal and Rest Break Memorandum of Understanding negotiated between WSNA and the employer.

This MOU affords the flexibility to determine combining breaks, scheduling meals and rest breaks at a time most convenient for the RN and waiving the Labor and Industry-provided optional second meal period for any shifts over 10 hours in length.

The employer is developing a final waiver and learning materials to help you utilize these resources and ensure you consistently get your rest breaks and meals.

A big thanks to everyone who turned out to vote and to the WSNA RN leaders who helped negotiate this MOU.
