Our contract has been ratified!

Sea King2

It is with HUGE satisfaction to finally announce that your 2026-2029 contract has been ratified by the Staff Nurse WSNA membership. Thanks to all the members who participated in voting and encouraged so many of their peers to participate!

Our bargaining unit of staff nurses made this long journey of 16 months with unity and persistence. Progress appeared impossible VERY often, as the nurses know all too well! This 4-year contract represents a significant move forward that has previously been attempted many times in bargaining. The TA Summary will remain posted for reference, highlighting the improvements.

What is next? The agreement will be transmitted to the County Council as a whole for their ratification, then to Executive Zahilay for signature.  Ten days later it becomes ordinance and effective. We’ll update you throughout the process and when posted to your local unit webpage https://www.wsna.org/union/seattle-king-county-health-dept-staff.

In solidarity,
Your Negotiating Team:
